Seoul stocks down 0.67 pct in late morning
SEOUL, April 15 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded down 0.67 percent late
Wednesday morning, dragged by overnight U.S. losses, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 9.06 points to
1,333.57 as of 11:20 a.m.
"Investors are taking a breather after U.S. shares tumbled on Tuesday," said Lee
Seung-woo, an analyst at Daewoo Securities.
Wall Street lost ground on weak March retail sales, with the Down Jones
industrial average shedding 1.71 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,338.5 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., down 15 won from Tuesday's close.
