Kazakhstan to evacuate more of its citizens from China due to coronavirus spread

Kazakhstan will send out additional planes to evacuate its citizens from China due to coronavirus outbreak, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the country’s prime minister.
Measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan were considered at the government session chaired by Kazkahstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin.
Some 497 citizens of Kazakhstan currently remain in China, including 337 students.
From Feb. 10 to Feb. 11, 217 citizens of Kazakhstan were evacuated Air Astana company from Beijing to Nur-Sultan.
On Feb. 12, 2020, the same plane will be sent to evacuate 155 more citizens from China.
Upon completion of the evacuation, 343 citizens of Kazakhstan will remain in China as they have expressed a desire to stay in China.
During the meeting Mamin highlighted that there are no patients with coronavirus in Kazakhstan to date.
The outbreak in the Chinese city of Wuhan - which is an international transport hub - began at a fish market in late December 2019. Since then over 1,000 people have died and over 43,000 people have been confirmed as infected.
Some sources claim the coronavirus outbreak started as early as November 2019. The symptoms include cough, headache, fatigue, fever, aching and difficulty breathing. It is primarily spread through airborne contact or contact with contaminated objects.
Chinese health authorities say that the majority of the people who have died were either elderly or had underlying health problems.
Aside from Mainland China, the cases of coronavirus spreading have also been confirmed in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, the US, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Macau, France, Canada, the UAE, India, Italy, Russia, Philippines, the UK, Nepal, Cambodia, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Sweden and Sri Lanka.
