Arab Countries` Water Desalination Conference Concluded

Riyadh, April 15, SPA -- The Four-day Water Desalination Conference
of Arab Countries concluded its works today at Riyadh
Intercontinental.

The conference was convened under the auspices of the Ministry of
Water and Electricity in cooperation with Saline Water Conversion
Corporation (SWCC) and a scientific support from the ECRA
(Electricity and Co-Generation Regulatory Authority) and
International Desalination Association (IDA).

The conference on water irrigation in the Arab countries prepared
the ground for experience-sharing among the concerned parties in the
Arab countries and opened horizons for cooperation in research, in
order for the Arab region to develop this technique and embrace it by
finding the proper procedures and strategies.


The conference also presented to the private sector the investment
opportunities available in saline water irrigation. The conference
program included discussion forums and workshops, in addition to
independent workshops presented by a group of renowned experts that
cover a number of areas associated with saline water irrigation.
