Saudi Arabia to participate in Arab Intellectual Property



Jeddah, April 20, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate
in the conference on Intellectual Property, starting tomorrow in
Egypt.

The WTO Arab Regional Conference on Intellectual Property is being
organized by The Arab Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration (ARAB
-CCA) in collaboration with Saudi Law Training Center in
Hurghada-Egypt.


More than 200 Arbitrators and Lawyers from the distinguished
regional and international arbitration institutions will attend the
conference.

Dr. Majed Garoub, Chairman of the National Committee for Lawyers at
the Council of Saudi Chambers, who will lecture on Arbitration in GCC
states said the WTO Arab Regional Conference on Intellectual Property
will provide a detailed explanation on the GCC and the Saudi Arabia
arbitration systems.


The conference will discuss a number of important issues to resolve
intellectual property disputes in the WTO framework as well as claims
resulting from English-based contracts as in construction contracts,
execution of arbitration rules, economic courts and impact on the
arbitration, possibility of rejection of arbitration verdicts in
addition to the international authority to invalidate the arbitration
verdict in the country of issuance.


It is worth mentioning that the conference will be held on the
sidelines of the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab
Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration (Arab-CCA).
