Jordanian Imports from Saudi Arabia hikes by 112 per cent



Amman, April 21, SPA -- Jordan's imports from Saudi Arabia increased
by 112 percent during the first two months of this year.


According to the General Statistics Administration, the value of the
Jordanian imports from Saudi Arabia jumped to 479.8 million Dinar
from 226.2 million Dinars.


Accordingly, 15.9 percent of Jordan’s total imports were from Saudi
Arabia.


Petroleum constituted the most important of Jordan’s imports from
Saudi Arabia.


As regards Jordanian exports to Saudi Arabia, these jumped by 5.7
percent. This figure constituted 7.9 percent of Jordan’s total
exports, with the exception of the re-exported commodities.
