S. Korean film 'Bimong' wins award in Brussels fantastic film fete

BRUSSELS, April 22 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean film "Bimong" (Dream) has won the
award for best film in a Brussels film festival, organizers said Wednesday.
Directed by Kim Ki-duk, "Bimong" received critical acclaim for its beauty on the
screen and poetic symbolism, according to organizers of the Orbit competition of
the 27th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, which run from April
9-21.
The film uses dream sequences and paradoxes in time to depict the love story of a
young man and woman, and the grief left by their love.
The South Korean filmmaker also received the award for best film for "Seom" (The
Island) in the international film competition of the festival in 2001.
The movie "Chujeokja" (The Chaser) by South Korean director Na Hong-jin won the
festival's award for best thriller.
