The King to Patronize International Conference of Architectural



Riyadh, April 24, SPA--The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has issued an approval that Saudi
Commission for Tourism and Antiquities organizes an international
conference of architectural heritage in Islamic countries and its
role in cultural and socio-economic development under the King's
patronage in Riyadh over the next year 1431H.
Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Commission's
President and Chairman of the Conference's Supreme Committee
expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the King for the royal
approval to organize the conference, saying that this is an
indication of the interest of the leadership in the national
architectural heritage and it is considered as a culmination of a
series of decisions issued by the state to preserve the heritage and
promote care of it as well as its investment .
On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition of
architectural heritage will be held with participation of a number of
Islamic countries and bodies interested in architectural heritage.
