Al-Ahsa Oasis Tops Arab Sites in Natural Wonders Global Contest

Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, April 27, SPA -- In the Competition of Natural
Wonders of the World, Al-Ahsa Oasis ranked the first at Arab level
and the sixth at the world level in the first phase of the
competition throughout 2008 and currently tops group "A" and Arab
sites.


During his visit to the headquarters of Al-Ahsa municipality on
Sunday evening, Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Deputy
Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs was briefed on the latest
news of Voting Committee for Al-Ahsa Oasis and the Competition of
Natural Wonders of the World.


The prince has expressed his satisfaction over the result achieved
by Al-Ahsa Oasis in this important competition, looking forward that
the Oasis will qualify for the third and final phase of the
competition.
