Prince Sattam patronizes opening ceremony of Investment

Riyadh, April 27, SPA -- Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Acting Governor
of Riyadh Region, this evening patronized the opening ceremony of
Investment Potentials Forum in Riyadh and the exhibition held on its
fringes.

At the venue, he was received by Abdulrahman Al-Jeraisi, President of
the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and
Industry, and other officials.

On behalf of Amro Moussa, the Arab League Secretary General, Dr.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, Assistant Secretary General for
Economic Affairs at the AL, gave an account on the economic situation
of the Arab world, citing the facts that the Arab world's population
is no more than 5% of the world's population, its area is no more
than 10% of the world, income is no more than 3% of the world's
income, oil represents 40% of investments.

The food gap incurred by the Arab world represents 54%, he added.
