Seminar on Saudi-American ties resumes in Washington

Washington, April 28, SPA -- A seminar on " International Changes and
the future of the Saudi- American relations" resumed its
deliberations here yesterday.


In an address, Under Secretary of US state department for political
affairs William Burns highlighted the existing partnership between
the US and Saudi Arabia as well as the initiatives presented by the
Kingdom for fighting terrorism.


Burns praised the moderate role of the Kingdom in the region, and
said the interests of the US and the Kingdom are identical to a great
extent, and that the Kingdom has become a partner in fighting ideas
that fuel terrorism and extremism.


He called on the Kingdom for exerting further efforts for realizing
security and economic stability in Iraq.
