Junior Eldstal To Return To Malaysia After Three-Year Spell In England
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Former national player, Junior Eldstal will be leaving English Southern League Premier Division side Metropolitan Police FC after receiving an offer to play with a Malaysian League club.
The club's manager Gavin Macpherson has extended his gratitude to the Malaysian-Swedish midfielder who made immense contributions during his three year with the club.
"It’s a great opportunity and one he has experience, so for Junior it’s absolutely the right thing," he was quoted as saying in the club's website:www.pitchero.com/clubs/metropolitanpolicefc.
"I’d like to thank Junior for his efforts over the past 3 seasons, he’s been a popular and important member of the squad and I look forward to watching his progress abroad," Macpherson added.
Junior has played a pivotal role in the club's success of winning the Southern League play-offs two years ago, and since then has became an essential part of the team.
Meanwhile, Junior in his latest tweet, thanked the club for giving him a chance to develop his game to a better level.
"Thank you @MetPoliceFC for making me fall in love with football again. Great bunch of lads who will go on to do great things," the 2013 National Football Awards Most Promising Players winner tweeted.
Junior, who isa former national Under-23 player, started his debut in the Malaysian League with Sarawak from 2013-2014, before joining Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) which saw him helped them to clinch three Super League titles (2015, 2016, 2017), FA Cup trophy (2016), Malaysia Cup (2017), besides the AFC Cup in 2015.
