Maybank, Petronas Win 2020 Leading Graduate Employers Award

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- Maybank and Petronas ranked at the top as the 2020 Leading Graduate Employers through the Malaysia's 100 Leading Graduate Employers Award. Through a ceremony which was organised virtually Thursday, the top 10 places went to Maybank in first place and Petronas in second place followed by PwC, KPMG, EY, Bank Negara Malaysia, Air Asia, Intel Malaysia, Deloitte and RHB Banking Group. GTI Media, as the award’s organiser, said that the list was based on 26,654 survey answers on employers of choice in Malaysia which were collected from graduates. "Based in the United Kingdom, this list of 100 Leading Malaysian Graduate Employers is the largest survey and among the earliest in studying graduate marketability in Malaysia," according to GTI Media in a statement. According to the statement, the three main factors that respondents chose the best employer were the opportunity to work under a good leader, the opportunity to develop and improve personal skills as well as the opportunity to improve professional skills. The annual award also listed the winners of the graduate’s employers of choice by sector involving 20 key sectors and two special categories, among them BMW Group for the automotive sector, Shopee (e-commerce), Sunway Education Group (education) and Astro (Media and Entertainment).
