Tealive Wins Gold At Asia eCommerce Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- Malaysian bubble tea brand Tealive has won gold at the Asia eCommerce Awards 2020 for ‘My Bubble Tea Kit’, an online campaign in March to enable Malaysians to make their own bubble tea at home during the Movement Control Order (MCO). Tealive won for eCommerce excellence over renowned finalists through its campaign, in the food and beverage brand category, according to a statement from parent company Loob Holding Sdn Bhd. Loob founder and chief executive officer Bryan Loo said the campaign which had successfully captivated 4.7 million unique visitors to the company's social media was extended to other countries, including Australia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore. "Other than transforming Tealive from a traditional brick-and-mortar business to a digitally-driven brand, this campaign has certainly generated a completely new experience in the world of bubble tea," he said. Loo said the company is still expanding despite the current economic environment. "We’ll open 20 outlets this month alone,” he added. -- BERNAMA
