Four Myanmar Nationals Held Over Rohingya Man's Murder in Malaysia’s Johor State

JOHOR BAHRU (Johor), Jan 6 (Bernama) -- Police arrested three Myanmar men and a woman Tuesday to assist investigations into the murder of a Rohingya man in Jalan Tan Yoke Fong 3, Taman Tan Yoke Fong, Kulai, near here. Kulai police chief, Supt Tok Beng Yeow said all the suspects, aged between 20 and 45, were nabbed in raids at two separate locations around Kulai at about 11 pm. "The raids were carried out after receiving a police report at 9.14 pm informing that a man had been stabbed at the residential area. “During the raids, police also seized a long machete, a pair of clothes, a pouch bag and two mobile phones, “ he said in a statement here Wednesday. Preliminary investigations found that the incident was believed to be due to family misunderstandings, he said, adding all the suspects are on remand for six days beginning today under Section 302 of the Penal Code. -- BERNAMA
