KFU Hospital succeeds in Cochlear Implant surgeries
Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, May 04, SPA -- The first successful
'COCHLEAR IMPLANT' surgeries of its kind in the Eastern Province were
conducted yesterday at King Fahd University Hospital - King Faisal
University (KFU) by a medical team headed by Dr. Laila Telmusani,
head of the ENT department, said DR. Abdullah Al Rubaish,
Undersecretary of KFU and General Supervisor of King Fahd University
Hospital.
The Operations were conducted on a two-year old born deaf boy who
could not use hearing aids and also conducted on a 28-year old woman
who lost her hearing sense for the last four years.
