Jeddah Governor to grace ceremony of dispatching OIC Aid to Palestinians
Jeddah, May 06, SPA -- On behalf of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor
of Makkah Region, Prince Misha’al bin Majed bin Abdul Aziz, Governor
of Jeddah, will grace the ceremony to be held by the Organization of
the Islamic Conference (OIC), to dispatch a convoy of humanitarian
aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
He will also open a special exhibition on the sidelines of the event
to be hosted by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry later
today.
The OIC Secretary General, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, is
expected to deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.
Sheikh Mohammed Abdulqader Alfadel, Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber
of Commerce and Industry and the Permanent Representative of the
State of Palestine to the OIC will both deliver speeches at the
ceremony, according to an OIC press release.
Over 250 delegates of the OIC Member States, together with eminent
personalities and representatives from humanitarian organizations
involved in the preparation of the aid convoy, will attend the
ceremony.
