Egyptian-Saudi Business Council holds meeting, elects Alhokair

Riyadh, May 06, SPA --Presided over by the Secretary General of the
Saudi Commerce Chambers' Council Dr Fahd Al-Sultan, the Saudi side of
the Egyptian-Saudi Business Council held a meeting today at the
headquarters of the Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry
during which the businessman Abdulmohsen Alhokair was elected as
President of the Council for a term of three years.

On the occasion, Alhokair valued his election to the
presidency of the Council, saying that "in my name and on behalf of
the members of the Egyptian-Saudi Businessmen, I convey deep thanks
to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector
General and Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and
Interior Minister, for their generous support for the businessmen
community and thanks to this support, the Saudi private sector
becomes able to fulfill its duties and implement several development
projects in the Kingdom".
"This is a confirmation that under the leadership of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques, the Kingdom lives a prosperous phase of its
history", he added.
In a press statement, Alhokair also announced that the Egyptian-Saudi
Business Council is due to implement an investment campaign to launch
joint projects worth billions of Saudi Riyals between the Kingdom
and Egypt.
