HEADS OF INTERNATIONAL PRESS INSTITUTE TO VISIT AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 9 May (AzerTAc). Chairman of the International Press Institute (IP) Janne Virkkunen and IPI Director David Dadge are to visit Azerbaijan on May 10, Umud Rahimoglu, Chairman of the International Eurasia Press Fund, head of the IPI Azerbaijan National Committee said. In the frame of visit, the delegation will hold discussions on the forthcoming World Congress of IPI (2010) and next General Assembly (59th) proposed to be hosted in Baku.
According to Rahimoglu, hosting the mentioned events in Baku will make certain contribution to development of local media and rise the country`s image on international arena. The IPI World Congress and General Assembly usually bring together about 500 media captains over the world. So, the events will also give opportunity to the world media representatives to closely familiarize with the Azerbaijan realities, Rahimoglu underlined.
