Minister signs SR 9 Billion Contracts for Water Transfer Systems
Riyadh, May 09, SPA -- Minister of Water and Electricity Eng.
Abdullah Al-Hussein has signed contracts at a total cost of SR 9
billion for manufacturing, import and implementation of systems of
water transference from Ras-al-zour to Riyadh.
The contracts will serve the citizens of Riyadh and other cities
like Sudeir, Majmah, Shaqra, Ghat, Thadiq and Zulfi.
The period for the implementation of the contracts is 42 months.
Under the contracts, 900,000 cubic meters of the desalinated water
will be transferred on daily basis from Ras-al-zour to Riyadh and
other governorates.
