Sweden's King Gustaf hails Peace Gift Program of Saudi King



BOSTON, May 10, SPA -- Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf, who is also the
Honorary President of the International Scouts Fund, has highlighted
the significance of the Peace Gift Program launched by the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and said the
Program has positively contributed to narrowing gaps among the scouts
of various civilizations, religions and races throughout the world.


He noted that more than 10 million scout cadets from 110 countries
have benefited from the Program which has deepened the concept of
peace and fraternity.

The remarks of the Swedish King were made at the Fund's party for
honoring donors, held recently in Boston.


The party was attended by Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed
Al-Saud, the Education Minister and Head of the Saudi Scouts Society,
as well as a number of academicians and businessmen.


King Gustaf expressed appreciation for King Abdullah’s initiatives
for realizing peace and narrowing the gaps among the nations.


He also praised the Saudi initiative to carry out the program of
environmental protection.


Meanwhile, Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saud presented
a memorial gift to Sweden's King.
