FOREIGN OWNERSHIP OF STATE BONDS RP85.10 TRILLION
Jakarta, May 11 (ANTARA) - Foreign ownership of state bonds early in May 2009 reached Rp85.10 trillion of the total of tradable state bonds worth Rp550.86 trillion.
Debt Management Directorate General at the Ministry of Finance said in Jakarta Monday foreign ownership of state bonds by May 5, 2009 had increased compared to Rp83.96 trillion by the end of April last year.
In September 2008, foreign ownership of state bonds reached Rp105.49 trillion of the total state bonds of Rp541.70 trillion, in October 2008 declined to Rp92.81 trillion (of a total of Rp541.70 trillion), in November 2008 up to Rp86.42 trillion (of a total of Rp534.46 trillion), and in December 2008 reached Rp87.61 trillion (of a total of Rp525.69 trillion).
In January 2009 reached Rp86.02 trillion of a total of 534.89 trillion, in February 2009 reached Rp80.90 trillion of a total of Rp551.35 trillion, in March reached Rp79.83 trillion of a total of Rp546.66 trillion, and in April 2009 reached Rp83.96 trillion of a total of Rp550.86 trillion.
The foreign ownership of state bonds worth Rp85.10 trillion by May 5, 2009 was part of non-bank ownership reaching Rp252.17 trillion.
Besides foreign ownership, in non-bank groups there is also mutual fund ownership worth Rp35.07 trillion, insurance Rp61.25 trillion, pension fund Rp34.87 trillion, securities Rp0.60 trillion, and others Rp35.28 trillion.
In the meantime, bank ownership reached Rp272.53 trillion, including syariah bank ownership Rp0.77 trillion, while Bank Indonesia's ownership reached Rp26.16 trillion.
