Completion of Civil works on North-South Railway Project in 2010

Riyadh, May 11, SPA -- The Chairman of Board of Directors of Saudi
Railways Company Mansour Al-Maiman has disclosed that the civil works
on the 2,400 km-long North South Railway Project will be completed in
2010.

He affirmed that the project is considered as one of the strategic
transport projects being implemented by the Company.

In remarks during a field tour of the Railway Project's civil works
site outside Riyadh city, which was conducted by professors and
students of Civil Engineering Faculty of King Saud University,
Al-Maiman noted that contracts for the project's civil works were
signed in 2007.

He also stressed the local contents of the railways industry in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
