Saudi Ambassador to Egypt praises Saudi-Egyptian relations 2

In this context, the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt highlighted the
message sent by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Egyptian
President regarding the Palestinian reconciliation efforts. Also, the
Ambassador pointed to the reconciliation invitation launched by the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Kuwait.

He also said that there are good signs for the time being from the
U.S. President and the White House on the development of the
relationship between the United States and Arab and Muslim countries.

Regarding the Iranian role in the region, the Saudi Ambassador said
that Iran is a neighboring country, a situation necessitates that we
exchange good neighborhood.

As regards the Iranian nuclear issue, he said the Kingdom believes
that the Middle East should be a zone free of nuclear weapons, and
believes in the right of States to the peaceful use of nuclear
energy.

Regarding the Hajj and Umrah season as well as the threats of swine
flu, the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham bin Mohieddin Nazir
confirmed that preventive measures were taken and so far there is no
symptoms of such disease in the Kingdom.
