WFM TO SEND WUSHU EXPONENTS FOR TRAINING STINT IN CHINA
KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (Bernama) -- Fifteen national wushu exponents have been identified to undergo a one month training stint in China, as preparations for the Laos SEA Games, in December.
Wushu Federation of Malaysia (WFM) executive secretary Winnie Chin Kim Yoong
said the training sessions in China would be handled by national coach Yoong
Thong Foong and assisted by two coaches from China, Liu Hen Ling and Qin Gan.
"They will train in three provinces - Fushou, Nanning and Guangzhou - to
master the wushu disciplines there," Kim Yoong told Bernama here Monday.
From the list of 15 exponents, three of them would compete in the 5th Asian
Wushu Championships in Macau from June 5-10.
Apart from the Asian Championships, the federation would also send a
10-member team to the World Wushu Championships in Toronto, Canada, scheduled
from Oct 24-29.
