COMCEC reviews trade cooperation among Muslim Countries

Izmir, Turkey, May 13, SPA -- The Follow-up Committee of the COMCEC,
the OIC Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation
began here yesterday its 25th meeting.

In a message to the Follow-up Committee, Turkish President Abdullah
Gul, who is also the Chairman of the COMCEC
welcomed all participants of the meeting to Turkey and appreciated
their efforts to contribute on important economic and trade
cooperation issues.


He also announced that under the framework of the 25th COMCEC
Session, the COMCEC Economic Summit will be held with the
participation of the Leaders of the OIC (Organization of Islamic
Conference) Member States in the format of an open-ended Executive
Committee meeting.


A Business Forum is also planned to be held with the participation
of private sectors' entrepreneurs and experts parallel to the 25th
COMCEC Session.
