Sales of LG's touchscreen mobile phones top 20 million

SEOUL, May 17 (Yonhap) -- LG Electronics Inc., South Korea's second-largest
mobile phone maker, said Sunday overall sales of its touchscreen mobile phones
have surpassed 20 million units.
LG sold its first touchscreen handset in March 2007, the company said in a
statement.
South Korean handset makers such as LG and Samsung Electronics Co. have
increasingly introduced mobile phones with touchscreens, which can detect the
presence of a touch within the display.
