Mitsui Chemicals sues LG Chem for patent violation

SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) -- Japan's Mitsui Chemicals Co. said Tuesday it has filed
a lawsuit with a Seoul court against LG Chem Ltd., South Korea's top chemicals
maker, for patent violation.
The Japanese company claimed that LG Chem's two elastomer products used to
produce bumpers for vehicles infringes on its patents.
Mitsui Chemicals is seeking 500 million won (US$402,000) in compensation and a
ban on the production and sale of the products.
