50 FOREIGN WARSHIPS TO TAKE PART IN SAIL BUNAKEN
Manado, Indonesia, May 21 (ANTARA) - A total of 50 warships from various countries will take part in "Sail Bunaken" in the Manado city waters June 12-21, 2009.
"The foreign warships will be joining 30 of their Indonesian counterparts in the North Sulawesi waters," Governor SH Sarundajang said here Thursday.
Three American warships and aircraft carrier George Washington will take part in sailing in the Manado Bitung Port waters.
Besides the fleet review, there will also be a sail pass, Darwin-Manado yacht rally, fly pass, city carnival and social services.
The governor said Manado city and Bitung are ready to host the international event, and have become destinations of world events in Indonesia following the successful World Ocean Conference (WOC). ***
