Executive Council of OIC Islamic Ministers Holds Meeting

Jeddah, May 23, SPA -- Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call
and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, who is also
Chairman of Executive Council of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic
Affairs in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), presided
over the Council's 10th session here today.

Addressing the session, Sheikh Saleh commended the great efforts
exerted by the Council, noting that the Council will endorse a number
of topics in preparation for submitting them to the general
conference of the Ministers scheduled to start its deliberations
later today.


He pointed out that the works of Ministries of Endowments and
Islamic Affairs in the Islamic world and their objectives are similar
with regard to mosques and their employees; Islamic Call; and Islam's
role in fighting deviant ideas and groups; as well as building
bridges of knowledge and dialogue with others in the world.
