RI COACH`S WIFE INJURED IN CRIMINAL INCIDENT IN KL
Kuala Lumpur, May 23 (ANTARA) - Henny, the wife of Rexi Mainaky, a coach of the Malaysian double team, had to be rushed to hospital for injuries she sustained when holding on to her purse snatched by bandits here.
Cheras Police Chief Ahmad Amir Mohd Hashim told Bernama on Saturday that the incident happened at about 23:00 when Rexy and his wife Henny were walking out of a restaurant in Ampang city, Kuala Lumpur.
All of a sudden, two men on a motorcycle approached them and snatched Henny's purse.
Realizing her purse was being taken away, Henny held on tightly to it. But the bandits then increased their motorcycle's speed dragging Henny along over distance of a few meters on the road.
Rexy then ran after the malcreants and succeeded in pulling the pillion rider off the motorcycle. Passers-by subsequently helped Rexy in subduing the fallen bandit who was later handed over to the police. The driver of the motorcycle, however, was able to ride on and disappear, abandoning his unlucky associate. ***
