JK-WIN AIMS FOR 40 PCT VOTE IN C. JAVA

Semarang, C Java, May 24 (ANTARA) - The Jusuf Kalla-Wiranto (JK-Win) pair of presidential and vice-presidential hopefuls has set itself a target of grabbing 30-40 percent of votes in Central Java in the July 8 polls.

"To achieve the target we will soon set up a JK-Win success teams in all districts and municipalities in Central Java," deputy chief of the JK-Win success team in Central Java Agung Putra said after a seminar here on Sunday.

The teams would be formed in a week at the latest, he said.
Agung said he would install members of the JK-Win success team in Kendal district on Monday.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the JK-Win pair installed its success team for the Yogyakarta special province at the "Jogja Kembali" monument in the presence of Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Golkar Party's secretary general Sumarsono, and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura)'s secretary general Yus Usman.

Jusuf Kalla (incumbent vice president) who is also Golkar Party chairman decided to run for president with former military chief Wiranto as his running mate and therefore to part with Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (incumbent president), who is also Democratic Party (PD)'s presidential candidate.

Golkar came in second in vote collection in the April 9 legislative elections after Yudhoyono's Democratic Party.
