Prince Nawaf bin Faisal takes part in the extraordinary Soccer

Sanaa, May 25, SPA -- Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz,
Vice President of Youth Welfare and Vice Chairman of the Saudi Soccer
Federation, took part in the extraordinary Soccer Federations heads
of the GCC member states in Sanaa today.

In a statement following the meeting, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin
Fahd bin Abdulaziz expressed full support for Yemen to hold a
successful 20th GCC soccer tournament scheduled for Yemen on December
22, 2010, Yemen's first since joining GCC sports joint organizations.

The meeting adopted a proposal submitted by Saudi Arabia that an
unified statement be issued to support the UAE Youth team scheduled
to participate in the World Youth finals in Egypt.

Prince Nawaf arrived in Sanaa earlier today where he was received by
Yemen's Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Sheikh Hashid bin
Abdullah Al-Ahmer, Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Ali Al-Hamdan and a
number of officials.

He thanked Yemeni officials for warm reception and generous
hospitality.

He said a number of issues pertaining to the GCC cup tournament and
ways of promoting soccer in the Gulf region were discussed.
