GOVT RAISES RP4.4 TRILLION THROUGH BOND AUCTION

Jakarta, May 26 (ANTARA) - The government raised Rp4.4 trillion in funds from the sale of state bonds in an auction on Tuesday, a Finance Ministry spokesman said.

The bonds put on auction were of the series SPN20100513, FR0036, and FR0047, the head of the ministry's public relations bureau, Harry Z Soeratin, said.

He said the government received Rp6.73 trillion bids for the series SPN20100513 with the lowest yield of 7.97 percent and the highest yield of 8.75 percent.

The government only accepted Rp1.1 trillion of the bids with an average weighted yield of 8.088 percent. The bond will be issued on May 28, 2009 and mature on May 13, 2010, he said.

He said bids for the series FR0036 reached Rp6.95 trillion with the lowest yield of 11.031 percent and the highest yield of 11.75 percent.

Only Rp2.5 trillion of the bids was accepted with an average weighted yield of 11.199 percent and a coupon of 11.50 percent. The bond will be issued on May 28, 2009 and fall due on September 15, 2019.

He said bids for the series FR0047 reached Rp2.26 trillion with the lowest yield of 12.0 percent and the highest yield of 12.813 percent.

The government only accepted Rp0.80 trillion of the bids with an average weighted yield of 12.1995 percent and a coupon of 10.0 percent. The bond will be issued on May 28, 2009 and become due on February 15, 2028.
