N SULAWESI TO BE ALLOTTED 904 TONS OF FERTILIZER

Manado, Indonesia, May 27 (ANTARA) - North Sulawesi province is to get an additional 904 tons of subsidized urea fertilizer allotment in June this year.

Local trade and industry office spokesman Gemmy Kawatu said here on Wednesday that the fertilizer would be distributed in June in an effort to increase the amount of regional agriculture products.

He said 132 tons of the fertilizer would be distributed to South Minahasa district, 132 tons to Bolmong district, 129 tons to North Bomong district, 99 tons to North Minahasa district, and the rest would be distributed to 13 other districts and municipalities in the province.

In the first semester this year the government allocated 11,184 tons of subsidized fertilizer but only 8,628 tons of which were realized.

He said there was fertilizer scarcity in North Sulawesi in the past years and therefore the government would tighten the distribution of subsidized fertilizer so that the distributors could sell it in accordance with permanent retailer price (HET).

The HET for subsidized urea fertilizer is Rp1,200 per kg, Superphos Rp1,550 per kg, NPK for Phonska Rp1,830 per kg, ZA Rp1,050 per kg and the organic fertilizer Rp1,000 per kg.***
