THREE PROTEST RALLIES AT PRESIDENTIAL PALACE THURSDAY

Jakarta, May 28 (ANTARA) - Three protest rallies with a potential of creating traffic jam will be staged in front of the Presidential Palace on Merdeka Utara street here on Thursday.

According to an information from Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Center (TMC), the first group of protesters would stage the rally in front of the palace at 9 in the morning.

From the Presidential Palace, the protesters will march to other locations such as Hotel Indonesia traffic roundabout on MH Thamrin street, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building on HR Rasuna Said, and the Attorney General's Office on Sisingamangaraja street for similar activity.

After that, the second rally of the second group of protesters will be held at 1 in the afternoon in front of the Presidential Palace, and then followed by the third rally from 4 to 5 p.m. local time.

Besides the rallies in front of the palace, another demonstration would also be held in front of the Chinese Embassy at Mega Kuningan area in South Jakarta.

TMC said a group of people from the so-called Friends of Falun Gong Indonesia would stage the protest rally in front of the Chinese Embassy at 10.45 in the morning until 1.15 in the afternoon.
