AZERBAIJAN HOPES INDONESIA OPENS EMBASSY IN BAKU

Jakarta, May 29 (ANTARA) - The government of Azerbaijan Republic hoped the Indonesian government would soon also open an embassy in his country.

Azerbaijan Ambassador to ndonesia Ibrahim A Hajiyev said in Jakarta Thursday an embassy is important in fostering he bilateral relations between the two countries.

"The relations between Indonesia and Azerbaijan is excellent. We hope that the opening of an Indonesian embassy there (Baku, capital of Azerbaijan) will foester the relations in the future," he said on the sidelines of the celebration of Azerbaijan Independence Day.

He said the two countries established relations in 1991.
