GORONTALO HIT BY 5.4 EARTHQUAKE EARLY FRIDAY

Jakarta, May 29 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Gorontalo (northern Sulawesi), on Friday, at 2.33 am Western Indonesia Time (WIB).

The quake's epicenter was located AT 0.21 degrees southern latitude, 122.80 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 23 km, around 88 km southwest of Gorontalo, 260 km southeast of Toli-toli (Southeast Sulawesi), and 294 km southwest of Manado (North Sulawesi), according to to information of the national meteorological and geophysics office, here on Friday.
