SIX DIE IN LANDSLIDE
Tana Toraja, Indonesia, May 30 (ANTARA) - A family of six was buried to death following a landslide in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi, on Saturday.
Four of the bodies of villagers of Rarukan, Lemo, Mangkendek, were discovered in the afternoon while the other two were still being searched.
According to a witness, Selvi, all the victims were trapped in their house when the landslide occured.
The incident happened following an incessant rain since Friday. Selvi said she heard a thundering sound from the hill before the landslide happened.
She had tried to shout to call the Daniel family to run out of their home but her shout seemed to be unheard because of the sound of rain.
The landslide had destroyed three other houses and cut off a village road.***
