Oratorical Meeting of Agricultural Workers

Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and agricultural workers had an oratorical meeting on October 6 to celebrate the 77th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). At the meeting, performers praised in deep emotion the greatness of the leadership of the peerlessly great men who devoted their all to the agricultural development of the country, always finding themselves among the agricultural workers. They lauded President Kim Il Sung who personally tended various kinds of crops in the garden of his residence and visited farm fields even at the advanced age of 80 and Chairman Kim Jong Il who visited farms across the country even on holidays, saying that farming is the great foundation of the country. They noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un brought up ordinary workers to be heroes, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly and meritorious persons of socialist patriotism, saying that his embrace is the cradle of happiness in which the Korean people should live. They called for attaining the goal of grain production set by the Party without fail, always mindful that the success or failure of the five-year plan depends on how the agricultural workers in charge of the granary of the country discharge their duty. Attending the meeting were Chairman Han Jong Hyok and other officials of the UAWK Central Committee and agricultural workers in Pyongyang City. -0-
