Greetings to Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un from General Secretary of C.C., Lao People's Revolutionary Party

Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the C.C., Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on October 10. The Lao president in the message extended warm congratulations and wishes to Kim Jong Un, officials of the WPK Central Committee, all the Party members and fraternal Korean people on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the WPK (October 10, 1945-October 10, 2022). He expressed his high pleasure over the fact that the fraternal Korean people have firmly defended the gains of the revolution and achieved the political stability, rapid development of national defence and security forces, sustained economic development and great successes in the improvement of the people's standard of living, for the past 77 years of development of the WPK after its foundation, as well as over the fact that they won the victory in the anti-epidemic campaign for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus and strikingly enhanced the position and role of the WPK and the DPRK on regional and international arenas by vitalizing the external relations. The message further said: We are sure that, under the guidance of the WPK led by Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Korean party, state and people will continue to make greater fresh successes in the defence and development of the country, building of a socialist power and the accomplishment of the cause of national peaceful reunification by implementing the decisions of the 8th Party Congress. Taking myself of this auspicious opportunity, I wish Comrade Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and success in accomplishing the noble cause. I hope that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties, states and peoples of Laos and the DPRK with a long tradition would be further strengthened and developed in conformity with the interests of the peoples of the two countries and the regional and global peace, friendship, cooperation and development. -0-
