GOVT DISCUSSES DRAFT REGULATION ON ACEH'S NATURAL RESOURCES
Jakarta, June 9 (ANTARA) - The central government and the regional administration of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) discussed on Tuesday a government draft regulation (RPP) on the exploitation of natural resources (SDA) in Aceh province.
"Today, the government and Aceh province once again discussed the draft RPP in Aceh," Spokesman for the Aceh Regional Government, A Hamid Zein said here Tuesday.
The government during the discussion was represented by the director general for special regional autonomy, Soni Sudrasono, and Aceh regional government secretary Husni Bahri.
In the meeting the government of Aceh submitted its ideas that could be included in the draft regulation.
Hamid Zein said the basic ideas from the Aceh regional government included a definition of joint exploitation of Aceh natural resources and the form of its statutory body.
The draft also needed to include the authority of the minister and the Aceh governor, tax arrangement and revenues from oil and gas exploitation.
Hamid Zen explained that the Aceh regional government also needed to include a cooperation agreement in the Aceh oil and gas resources draft regulation.
On supervision, the existing contracts in the transitional period and the appointment of an independent auditor should also be included in the draft regulation, he said.
