National Committee For Combating Human Trafficking Holds Meeting With US Delegation

Doha, February 21 (QNA) - The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking held a meeting today with a delegation from the US Departments of State and Labor, during their current visit to the country. The delegation was briefed on the experience of the Humanitarian Care Home under the umbrella of the Ministry of Labor and about its mechanism of action and the measures taken for protection and prevention, providing assistance to the victims, and working towards their rehabilitation and integration into society. Humanitarian Care Home officials discussed with the US Department of Labor delegation frameworks for cooperation and strengthening joint relations between the two countries in the field of combating human trafficking issues and measures to protect workers' rights. The Humanitarian Care Home, represented by the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking and operated by the Qatar Red Crescent, aims to provide the required assistance and protection to victims of human trafficking, work on their rehabilitation and integration into society, and provide care and temporary lodge for them until their problems are resolved.
