Qatar News Agency Adds 26 New Languages To Its News Services

 
Doha, March 04 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched on Saturday a simultaneous translation service for its news in 26 international languages, besides Arabic, in the implementation of its plan to expand the provision of its news services to include many languages of the world. The launch of the multi-language news service comes within the framework of a plan to develop QNA's work in line with the tremendous development globally, reach the public in all parts of the globe, communicate the voice of the State of Qatar in all languages, and promote the State of Qatar as a sports, tourism and economic destination. The visitor of the QNA website can use this new service by selecting the news, then highlighting the part to be translated, and a set of options would appear, including simultaneous translation for a large list of different languages. HE Director-General of QNA Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi said that the launch of this new service gives the reader, who speaks those languages, everything he wants to know about the State of Qatar and its economic, social, tourism, and cultural policy, so QNA becomes the gateway for the reader to get a closer look on Qatar. QNA Director-General added that the agency selected the most widely spoken languages in the world to reach the public in all parts of the globe, explaining that the new service is in line with QNA's policy to keep pace with technological development in all fields. In September, QNA launched its news services in three new languages: French, German, and Spanish, raising the number of languages of its news services to five international languages: Arabic, English, French, German, and Spanish.
