Doha, March 08 (QNA) - HE President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad affirmed that the State of Qatar, since its accession to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in 2006, has worked to implement all the provisions of the agreement, whether in relation to legal aspects or regulatory issues.
In an exclusive statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), on the sidelines of the parliamentary dialogue of the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) 2023, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, His Excellency pointed out that corruption crimes are crimes that exist throughout history, indicating that in light of the world's development at all levels and in all fields, it has become necessary to have international cooperation to combat and address this phenomenon.
He said that the United Nations Convention against Corruption was concluded in 2003 in Mexico, and 189 countries joined it, adding that this indicates an international desire to combat all the corruption-related crimes.
