Bulukumba, S Sulawesi, June 11 (ANTARA) - A tea, from the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) had been monitoring and evaluating the program of the Australian Indonesia Basic Education Program (AIBEP) in Bulukumba on Thursday.
The donor institution of this neighboring country, has funded a number of development programs in Bulukumba.
AusAID monitored the AIBEP education program. Members of the AusAID team are Joanna Dwolin, James Lee, and Emma Cakradinata.
Under the AIBEP program launched several years ago, the AusAID had built a number of educational institutions, including 15 schools, and 8 schools under one roof worth billions of billions of rupiah.
"As the implementation of the programs had been running well, we plan to continue with the second-stage cooperation and assistance," Joanna Dowlin said.
Besides building schools, AusAID will also try to improve the management of the educational system for school supervisors and masters.
After visiting a number of schools which had received assistance, the AusAID team also inspected the teaching and learning practices at several schools, which may also received assistance in the next stage.
Bulukumba Regent AM Sukri Sappewali highly welcomed the AusAID program because it has become an important part of enhancing human resources.
