NZ FOREIGN MINISTER TO VISIT RI LATE JUNE

Jakarta, June 12 (ANTARA) - New Zealand Foreign Minister Helen Clark is scheduled to visit Indonesia late June to discuss practical issues of common interest, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

One of the issues was how to enhance trade and investment relations between the two countries, Teuku Faizasyah said here on Friday.

Faizasyah declined to clarify whether Clark would discuss other issues with her Indonesian counterpart during her visit.

New Zealand's trade with Indonesia has been growing steadily.

In the year ended June 2008, two-way trade reached NZ$1.78 billion, making Indonesia New Zealand's seventh largest export market in the world and its largest in Southeast Asia.

Among the ASEAN member countries, Indonesia is ranked New Zealand's fourth largest bilateral trading partner.
New Zealand's exports to Indonesia are dominated by dairy products and meat while Indonesia's exports to New Zealand include natural rubber, textiles, clothing and footwear.
