PUBLIC WORKS TO BUILD INFRASTUCTURE PROJECTS WORTH Rp 42.5 BILLION



Curup, Bengkulu, June 15 (ANTARA) - Head of the Rejang Lebong regency public works agency Firdaus Bahar said the agency has prepared a budget of 42.5 billion for infrastructure development.

"The money is already there, the thing now left to be done in a tender," Firdaus said here Sunday.
With the Rp42.5 billion, many means and facilities can be built like irrigation systems, roads, bridges, and buildings.

For the irrigation sector Rp3.9 billion had been prepared, for housing, planning and urban development (cipta karya) Rp1.4 billion, and for road and bridge construction Rp37.2 billion.

"With regard to the construction of a steel bridge in Lubuk Kembang village, North Curup subdistrict, the money available amounts to Rp5 billion," Firdaus said.

He also said 28 irrigation networks will be built in 9 subdistricts, namely Curup Selatan one, Curup Timur four, Sindang Beliti Ilir subdistrict one, Padang Ulak Tanding four, Sindang Kelingi one, Bermani Ulu five, Bermani Ulu Raya four, and in Selupu Rejang subdistrict five irrigation systems.

Roads and bridges will be built in 7 subdistricts, namely Curup Selatan, Padang city, Padang Ulak Tanding, Sindang Dataran, Sindang Beliti Ilir, Selupu Rejang, and Bermani Ulu subdistrict.

The cipta karya projects will include local roads and drainage in two subdistricts, namely Curup Tengah and Curup Kota.

In the meantime the sports hall will be rehabilitated at a cost of Rp450 million.
