Minister of Labour Holds Several Meetings on Sidelines of Heat Stress Conference

 

Doha, May 09 (QNA) - HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri held a number of meetings with Assistant Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Manuela Tomei, HE Representative of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the UAE and member of the International Labor Organization Governing Body for West Asian countries, Khalifa Khamis Mattar Al Kaabi, and Regional Secretary, International Transport Workers Federation, Bilal Malkawi and  Director of the Executive Office of the Labor Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Amer Al Hajri, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Heat Stress held in Doha.

During the meetings, they reviewed aspects of joint cooperation, and ways to support and develop them during the coming period, especially updating legislation related to occupational heat stress and the need to adopt an integrated approach to prevent the effects of heat stress worldwide. (QNA)
