Labor Ministry, Owners of Recruitment Offices Discuss Raising Level of Services, Achieving Balance in Labor Market

 
 
Doha, May 23 (QNA) - The Complaints and Grievances Committee of Recruitment Offices at the Ministry of Labor held the first meeting with holders of licenses to practice the profession of recruiting workers from abroad for third parties (distinguished) with the aim of educating license owners about the decisions, procedures and instructions issued by the Ministry of Labor, and raising the level of services provided to the public.
The meeting was held within the Ministry's vision of communicating with the distinguished owners of recruitment offices, in order to ensure the optimal application of decisions and instructions to achieve balance in the labor market.
The meeting discussed the challenges facing recruitment offices with labor-exporting countries and the difficulties facing offices with government agencies.
The members of the committee stressed the necessity of adhering to all procedures and facilities in returning the sums of money in the event that the workers were returned to the office, and to simplify and speed up the procedures for citizens and provide them with the best services.
They explained that the decisions, procedures and instructions aim to provide the best services and advancement in the labor market, especially domestic workers, in addition to preserving the rights of both parties, namely the license holder and the employer.
The members of the committee indicated that they are keen to respond to all inquiries submitted by the recruitment offices, noting that the meeting with the owners of recruitment licenses will be held periodically to coordinate with all parties.
They also affirmed the continuation of taking all measures, decisions and instructions that would preserve the rights of employers, in a way that reduces the burdens regarding the obligations arising there from, as a result of breaching employment contracts or the escape of domestic workers. (QNA)
