QFMA Participates in Association of National Numbering Agencies Meeting in London

 

 

Doha, June 15 (QNA) - Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) is participating in the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), which started Thursday in London.

Director of Inspection and Surveillance Department Essa Abdullah Al Kaabi is heading QFMA's delegation to the meeting.

The topics on the agenda of the meeting include enhancing cooperation and coordination among member states, updating the strategic initiatives of the ANNA, in addition to discussing other issues and topics related to membership applications, partnership and internal rules.

The meeting will also discuss reports from work and teams, and regional groups on auxiliary markets, digital assets, and the International Standard Number guidelines, as well as the Association's annual accounts, financial statements, and the auditor's report.

On the margins of the meeting, a working session will be held on "Experience with Digital Assets in Local Markets".

In 2013, QFMA signed a partnership agreement with ANNA for the purpose of applying international best practices in the fields of developing financial markets, providing stability and transparency, and protecting securities dealers.

QFMA Became a member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies in 2015.

Founded under Belgian law in 1992, the Association of National Numbering Agencies is specialized in applying international ISO standards for the capital market sector. (QNA)
